The Kao Corporation is using chemically-recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material for the inner plate of its makeup foundation. The PET is manufactured by PET Refine Technology Co., Ltd., using chemical recycling technology* created by Jeplan. The initiative is expected to reduce the amount of virgin plastic Kao uses in the makeup category.
